Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic
Copley Township Fire Department
Compensation & benefits will be determined by the collective bargaining agreement between Copley Township and the Copley Firefighters, IAFF Local 3130, which include but are not limited to
- 2023 Salary $81,943.75 at Step 5.
- Police & Fire Pension
- Longevity pay
- Vacation and holiday pay
- Medical, dental, and life insurance
- Tuition Reimbursement
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a good driving record
- Hold a Current Ohio Firefighter II Certification
- Hold a Current Ohio Paramedic Certification
- Must meet the minimum requirements of the Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic Job Description
- Have or obtain a current (within 12 months) agility certificate from Cuyahoga Community College or Stark State College. An alternate agility certification may be accepted in lieu of an agility certificate, depending on the test and testing organization. Examples include but are not limited to, Combat Challenge or Firefighter Mile; NOT REQUIRED TO APPLY, BUT MUST OBTAIN PRIOR TO ANY OFFERS OF EMPLOYMENT.

Offers of employment will be made after acceptable candidates complete the hiring process, including, but not limited to, job fitment testing, psychological assessment(s), polygraph, panel interview(s), and background investigation. Applicants will be notified when they can expect to complete additional steps beyond NTN testing. This is a competitive process that may also include internal candidates. Post Offer Requirements: successful completion of a Medical Physical, Drug Screen, and Psychological Examination.
