Technical Rescue Instructor, $60/hour

Ascent Fire Department Assessment Centers and Training LLC (ASCENT FD ACT) is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fulfill the lead instructor role for technical rescue training (specifically rope rescue for this position) and be able to travel abroad.
Background:
ASCENT FD ACT is a company comprised of three primary divisions:
• Fire Department Professional Services (promotional testing, consulting)
• Training (offering over 30 Pro Board-Certified NFPA training programs)
• Industrial Safety Training

ASCENT FD ACT is currently seeking a highly motivated, passionate, service-driven, technical rescue instructor with expertise in rope rescue to join our team.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 15 years of experience working for a full-time department
• Current Instructor II (Ohio, IFSAC, or Pro Board)
• Documented experience in rope rescue instructional techniques
• Must be familiar with NFPA 1006
• Able to travel internationally, obtain a passport within six months
• Must be able to obtain security clearance to work on Department of Defense and Homeland Security bases owned by the USA
• Must be able to teach up to a full 40-hour week at a time
Preferred Qualifications:
• Additional instructional experience in the courses listed at ascent-fd-act.com are a plus
• Pro Board or IFSAC Certifications in these disciplines are preferred
• ASCENT FD ACT will train the right person
Additional Information:
• Retirees and former Ohio Task Force 1 members are highly encouraged to apply
• All travel expenses are paid
• Per diem rates according to gsa.gov are applied
• Current hourly rate is $50-$60, DOQ
• This is a contract-based position and hours are based on service requests and awarded contracts
