The City of Oregon is offering full testing services for the positions of Firefighter 1 (EMT) and Firefighter 2 (Paramedic) through the National Testing Network, Inc. (NTN). The application period is July 1, 2024 to August 30, 2024. Testing is open now till August 30, 2024. Job descriptions: Firefighter 1 (EMT) Performance Responsibilities: Under direction of the Fire Chief, this position is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to firefighting, fire prevention and medical treatment. A Firefighter 1 (EMT) must be able to work with a wide range of tools and equipment and must be able to learn technical material about firefighting EMT methods. Firefighter 2 (Paramedic) Performance Responsibilities: Under supervision of the Fire Chief shall perform a wide variety of duties related to and including paramedic/firefighting. Candidates must be able to work with a wide range of tools and equipment and must be able to learn technical material about paramedic/firefighting methods, fire prevention, and medical treatment. Shall possess ability to perform labor and services of the character required by the operation of the Division of Fire of the City of Oregon, Ohio.
