Qualified applications being accepted for Fire Chief
Due to a retirement, the Fairfield Township Board of Trustees is currently seeking qualified applicants to serve as Fire Chief. The Township operates a combination Department with Full-time and Part-time members from two fire stations, serving approximately twenty-two thousand residents.
Overview- The Fire Chief is a vital part of the Management Team of the Fairfield Township Fire Department and the Township, participating in the managing of all aspects of the fire department, including regulations outlined in the Ohio Revised Code, the Ohio Fire Code, Ohio Building Code, and the Rules and Regulations of the Fairfield Township Fire Department.
This position is expected to work in collaboration with elected officials and other department heads and employees, collective bargaining unit members, part-time staff, residents, and community partners, while maintaining efficient and effective operations.
The Fire Chief is ultimately responsible for the health, welfare, and safety of the community of Fairfield Township, its residents, businesses and visitors and the staff of the Fairfield Township Fire Department; these responsibilities include the overall operation of fire suppression services, fire prevention, and EMS services provided by the department.

Salary
Starting Salary for Fire Chief is $110,000 or higher depending upon experience and education.
