CE Program with Cleveland State University

PLEASE NOTE:  Continuing Education Credits can only be used if approved by the applicant’s fire chief or the program director of a chartered fire training program.

The Ohio Fire & Emergency Services Foundation and the Ohio Fire Chiefs’ Association have collaborated with Cleveland State University’s Center for Emergency Preparedness (CSU / CEP) to develop and deliver an online web-based continuing education program for Ohio’s emergency service providers.

This program is the result of changes in the Ohio Revised Code (ORC 4765), which requires certified emergency service providers to receive recertification continuing education for the various levels of their certification.  EMS online CE training is approved by the Ohio EMS Board Approved Training Program #2462, ResQed EMS Con-Ed Online. At the end of each course, students will take a quiz and fill out an evaluation form.  Successful completion will enable students to download and print certificates.

For only $20.00 per person, you will gain a one-year subscription with unlimited credits for Firefighter, Fire Safety Inspector, Fire / EMS Instructor, Emergency Medical Service (Basic EMT and Paramedic), Hazardous Materials, Occupational Safety & Health, and other specialized Fire / EMS related courses.  In addition, the Ohio Board of Building Standards has approved numerous Fire Safety Inspector classes for Fire Protection Inspector recertification.

Please take a few moments to review the attached material, watch the demo video, and register for your recertification credits.
